XML Schema

The schema that we use to build workshop models is named DES XML. The current version number is 2005.0.

The DES XML schema is used to define

General Concepts   This section introduces XML and describes some additional grammatical rules that are used to describe a model and to control and display its solution.

Top-Level Elements   This section describes the top-level elements in DES XML.

Model Structure   This section presents the elements that are used to describe the structure of a model.

Calculation Sequence   This section presents the element that is used to start the sequence of calculations that define the model's variables.

Solution Control   This section describes the elements that are used to control a model's solution.

Display Of Results   This section describes the elements that are used to create and layout display panels and to populate the panels with numerical values and graphs.

Miscellaneous Topics   This section covers some miscellaneous topics, including file formats and document type definitions.
