Post-doctoral Fellow

Dr. David Stec

A post-doctoral position is available for candidates with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with research interests in cardiovascular, renal physiology, and the pathophysiology of hypertension. Candidates with strong backgrounds in integrative physiology and/or molecular biology are especially encouraged to apply. Research projects include the role of Cytochrome P450 metabolites of arachidonic acid in hypertension and the role of heme oxygenase/CO in renal failure. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of methods and research strategies including transgenic and gene targeted mice, molecular, biochemical, cellular, whole organ, and integrative biological approaches. Position is available in the laboratory of Dr. David E. Stec in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics.
