Dr. Michael Ryan

A post-doctoral position is available for candidates with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with research interests in cardiovascular, renal physiology, and the pathophysiology of hypertension. Candidates with strong backgrounds in integrative physiology and/or molecular biology are especially encouraged to apply. Research projects include the role of cytokines, reactive oxygen species and peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma in hypertension, renal and vascular dysfunction during the development of inflammatory disease. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of methods and research strategies including molecular, cellular, whole organ, and integrative biological approaches. Position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Michael J. Ryan in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics.
