With the explosion in medical technology related to studying angiogenesis at the cellular, molecular, and genetic levels, it is our task to integrate that information to understand function at whole organism levels. Therefore, we have established many different models or methods, such as chick CAM model, melanoma or breast cancer model in the immunocompetant mice, chronic alcohol consumption in rats or mice, muscle stimulation in rats, voluntary exercise in mice or rats, VEGF gene therapy in rats, multicellular communication culture system, morphometric analysis of capillary density in different tissues, chronic monitoring of blood pressure in LDL receptor gene knockout mice, gene array analysis, Northern blot, Western blot, real time PCR, and electrophorectic mobility shift assays.
