The Transgenic Core provides microinjection service of fertilized mouse embryos for the production of transgenic mice for the research community of the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The Transgenic Core can also provide interested investigators help in the design of transgenic constructs as well as in genotyping of transgenic mice. FEES are based on the type of service requested by individual investigators. Transgenic mice are normally made on a B6SJL F1 background. Other genetic backgrounds can be provided to interested investigators by specific request. Interested investigators should provide the Transgenic Core with the appropriate required FORMS as well as their PURIFIED DNA for microinjection.
